Profanity,Vulgarity and Violence. I love it.
I freely admit to being a movie theater slacker. I almost always see movies on DVD. Theaters are expensive and you can’t go exactly when you want and you can’t back up and watch the funny scenes over and over and you can’t take a potty break and waaaaaaaah! I am so pathetic.
But today I actually went to a movie, in a real theater! And I’m glad I did, because Due Date is quite fun. It is, I would even dare to say, LOL fun. I know, that’s a bold statement.
I will admit (because I have to, it’s no secret and someone would call me on it if I didn’t) that I love Robert Downey, Jr. That doesn’t mean I will fawn over his every movie utterance. Two Guys and a Girl? Boring. But he has aged well and learned what suits him. He’s the straight man here to Zach Galifianakis’ nut bag and they’re both very, very funny. It’s probably fair to say that neither one had to stretch much, but who cares? It’s a raunchy comedy, not Shakespeare.
You can read my full review here. Decide for yourself if this one is right for you, but I did, in fact, LOL. And I don’t do that in public for just anything.
