Funnyman Drew Carey returns to network television in a tuneup for his Price Is Right gig. The comedian, who turns 50 next spring, debuts The Power of 10 tonight on CBS.
The show is another in a string of less-taxing game shows that have cropped up in recent years such as Deal or No Deal and The Weakest Link. Players will start with $1000 and attempt to answer questions based on a survey — a premise remarkably similar to Family Feud. Each correct answer multiplies the players earnings 10-fold. One can only imagine the difficulty that contestants encounter when approaching $100,000 and above.
Punching The Remote If Carey captures a strong lead-in audience or Big Brother fans tuning in early, CBS can have a great night. Over on Fox, only four directors remain On The Lot.
