Today is a sad day for fans of 60 Minutes, and fans of Ed Bradley in particular. The veteran journalist, who was with the newsmagazine for 26 years, passed away of leukemia this morning. His “60 Minutes” reports and other CBS news pieces earned Bradley 19 Emmys, including one for the only TV interview given by convicted bomber Timothy McVeigh. His stories ranged from the serious (brain cancer research, violence in America) to the entertaining (profiles of Tiger Woods and Lena Horne). He was a familiar face for many, and he will be missed.
