Actress Jane Wyatt passed away over the weekend. According to her publicist and her family, Wyatt, who had suffered a stroke 11 years ago, died Friday of natural causes. During her career Wyatt appeared in many films (including Lost Horizon and the Cary Grant vehicle None But the Lonely Heart) and did guest stints on several TV shows. But her best-known role came as the mother and wife on the popular ’50s family sitcom Father Knows Best. In real life, Wyatt was a mother too; she leaves two sons, Christopher and Michael Ward, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
