Once again we have some mid-week oddities, releasing on a Friday.  Well, I shouldn’t say “we” – they’re available for buyers, but not Netflix renters.  Say it with me – the studios who forced this delay on Netflix SUCK.

That’s a whole lot of delayed DVDs.  Thanks, studios.  But I’ll be watching for the Kids Are All Right to arrive in my mailbox on Tuesday.  Annette Bening is getting a lot of Oscar buzz for this one.  I will be passing on Eat Pray Love – I couldn’t bring myself to pick up the book and Julia Roberts in the lead doesn’t make me inclined to watch the movie.  That’s one they could have delayed indefinitely…

And we may not be able to rent it yet, but Ben Affleck’s The Town is an adaptation of a novel.  We can get that novel for less than a movie rental!  It’s always fun to compare the movie with its source material.  See the link below – you can get the paperback for a little over 2 bucks.  Score!
