How I Met Your Mother: ‘Everything Must Go’ to Charity

In “Everything Must Go,” last night’s episode of How I Met Your Mother, Lily and Marshall put their possessions up for sale online, which wouldn’t shock fans up to date on the characters’ financial woes. A pleasant surprise, though, is that they set up a real site, lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com, and proceeds from the sales of props and costumes will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. The site will be up for two weeks, and with luck will raise some funds.

Update: I had trouble accessing the site yesterday, but everything appears to be running smoothly now. CharityFolks.com says in the comments for this post that the auction has already raised $10,000 — congrats!
